The chances were high Chris was going to have an interest in Motorsport, from his birth there has always been a race car of some sort in the family garage.
Right from the time he could walk he has been attending motorsport meetings, watching his father compete from grass roots club level racing thru to National Race meetings. At the age of twelve while at Farm Cove Intermediate Chris got his first kart and the interest in motorsport rapidly became a passion.
He continued to race karts right through his years at Pakuranga College also successfully achieving his NCEA level1 & Level 2 and represented his school at two North Island inter school kart championships.In 2008 Chris took a gap year from studies working at The Gearbox Factory (who coincidentally are the nominated repairer of gearboxes for the NZV8 Ute series) whilst deciding on a university path. He also started racing in the Mazda Rx7 Pro7 Plus Series finishing 2nd in his first season also picking up Rookie of the Year.
From 2009 until the end of 2013 he attended Unitec completing a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and a Bachelor of Construction whilst also working as a Quantity Surveying Cadet for Macrennie Construction.
From 2011 until 2013 he competed in the NZ V8 Ute series finished 2nd in 2012 and was NZ Champion in 2013.
2014 Chris raced V8 SuperTourers and took up Golf.2015 he started working for Mainline Construction as a Quantity Surveyor & Project Manager whilst traveling and improving his Golf.
2016 Competed in an NZ V8 Ute at the NZ Grand Prix meeting at Manfield, after not driving since the end of the 2014 season, he won the meeting.
